Unforgettable Stay at Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch: Hotel Review

Embarking on an adventure-packed Easter weekend getaway, I found myself immersed in the vibrant charm of Durban at the Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch.

This trip was extra special for me, as it was also my first time travelling alone during my pregnancy (I previously did a Durban and Cape Town trip with my partner in my first trimester). I heard a lot of good things about travelling in your second trimester and I can definitely say this proved to be true. I had so much fun on this trip, and because I have lots of friends and family in Durban, it was also a great opportunity to catch up with them and share the news in person (I hadn't made my pregnancy announcement officially yet)

Nestled just off the N2, the hotel boasts a prime location, less than a mile from the bustling Gateway Theatre of Shopping and the pristine shores of Umhlanga Beach. With Durban's famed attractions like Moses Mabhida Stadium and Durban ICC just a 20-minute drive away, the hotel serves as the perfect hub for exploration.

Room Highlights

- Luxurious king 1 bedroom suite with spacious living area

- Stunning ocean view and Umhlanga beach scenery

- Suite Dreams® by Serta bed for ultimate comfort

Dining Experience at Together and Co.

As evening descended, I ventured to the Together and Co. restaurant to indulge in a culinary journey. From the flavorful soup of the day to the tantalizing Thai chicken wrap, every dish was a testament to the chef's expertise. And breakfast? An absolute delight, with a sumptuous buffet offering a myriad of options, including the newly introduced pancake machine.

Throughout my stay, I had the opportunity to both relax and also to get to spend some time with friends and family. I definitely soaked up the sun and made the most of my trip.

As my time at Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch came to an end, I couldn't help but reflect on the unforgettable experiences I had encountered. From leisurely afternoons spent by the pool to exhilarating adventures exploring nearby attractions, this getaway was truly one for the books.
